Data-driven management in tourism in Sodankylä

The Data-driven management in tourism in Sodankylä -project addresses gaps in tourism data collection and monitoring by developing tools and data-driven management model that support Sodankylä region in sustainable tourism, strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs, and improve decision-making at both business and regional levels.

Participating companies will gain valuable insights into visitor flows, customer needs, and market trends, enabling them to better target marketing efforts, develop services, identify new business opportunities, and respond more effectively to seasonal fluctuations. At the same time, the project creates a shared knowledge platform that supports collaboration, regional development, investment planning, resource allocation, and the objectives of Lapland’s Smart Specialisation Strategy, helping to build a more resilient and competitive tourism destination.
