The Wellbeing Services County of Lapland is responsible for organising public health, social and rescue services in Lapland.
Responsibility for social and health services was transferred to the Lapland Wellbeing Services County (Lapha) as of January 1, 2023. Service information (in english) can now be found on Lapha's website at lapha.fi.
The municipality aims to attract permanent private investments in Sodankylä, to support entrepreneurship through long-term infrastructure investments and to develop an attractive business environment.
